According to the City of Fremont's website,
there is a 138 acre area that is part of the
City of Fremont Redevelopment Project for Niles.
The City's hope is to attract new businesses to the Niles District.
They intend to do this while retaining and enhancing the
historic and cultural character of Niles.
The City of Fremont's public improvement projects are as follows:
Quarry Lakes/Niles Beach Improvements
Niles Streetscape Improvements
Union Pacific Property Acquisition
Niles Plaza
Veterans' Memorial Building Renovation
